![]() ![]() Host of the television program Knowing God with Greg Laurie and of the syndicated radio program A New Beginning, Laurie has appeared on ABC World News Tonight, Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN. He also worked as a contributing author of study notes for the New Believer’s Bible and The Seeker’s Bible: New Testament : New Living Translation (Wheaton, Illinois: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc., 2000, ISBN 0842339280). Most recently he has published Loser and Winners, Saints and Sinners: how to finish strong in the spiritual race. Laurie has written several books, including The Upside-Down Church (1999, co-authored with David Kopp: the book won a Gold Medallion Book Award in the "Christian ministry' category in 2000), Every Day with Jesus (1993), and Wrestling with God (2003). He serves on the boards of directors for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and for Samaritan's Purse. Laurie holds two honorary doctorates (from Biola University and Azusa Pacific University), although his formal education ceased at high school. His autobiography, Lost Boy, was released in June 2008 by Regal Books and continues to be one of the bestselling Christian biographies of all time. In addition to speaking and assisting other ministries, Laurie has authored over 70 books including Signs of the Times, As I See It, Hope for Hurting Hearts, Married.Happily., Essentials, What Every Christian Needs to Know, Upside Down Living, The Greatest Stories Ever Told, and many more. Along with his work at Harvest Ministries, Laurie serves on the board of directors of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Laurie has a weekly television program on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, and he has appeared on many other television news programs. Laurie is the featured speaker of the nationally-syndicated radio program, A New Beginning, which is broadcast on more than 500 radio outlets around the world. More importantly, more than 370,900 people have registered professions of faith through these outreaches. Harvest Crusades have also been held internationally in Australia and New Zealand. Greg spoke to 50,000 people at a 2011 Harvest Crusade in Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium. Since that time, more than 4,405,000 people have attended Harvest Crusades events around the United States, ranging from the annual event at Angel Stadium in Anaheim to Madison Square Garden in New York City. In 1990, Laurie began holding large-scale public evangelistic events called Harvest Crusades. Today, Harvest is one of the largest churches in America, and consistently ranks among the most influential churches in the country. Since then, God has transformed that small group into a church of some 15,000 people. He began his pastoral ministry at the age of 19 by leading a Bible study of 30 people.
